About & Contact
I am an interdisciplinary artist and filmmaker working between non-fiction and experimental forms.
Born and raised in a small mountain village in China, I later moved to a large metropolis and now live in Hamburg, Germany. Moving between different places and cultures has made me aware of how perspective shapes what we see and how we understand the world. This awareness continues to guide my work.
Culture, personal experience, and social structures determine what becomes visible, what is remembered, and what remains overlooked. I am interested in how images frame reality and influence perception. Rather than treating images as neutral representations, I approach them as sites of mediation: spaces where meaning is constructed and negotiated.
My work combines documentary approaches with poetic elements to examine these processes. I question how intergenerational trauma, power structures, and media representation shape our understanding of reality. By working with temporality, spatial composition, and layered perspectives, I seek to open spaces where different versions of truth can coexist and where the viewer becomes aware of their own position within these structures.
